Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a luxury mansion in Mumbai for Rs 31 crore

Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a 5,184 sq ft duplex class worth Rs 31 crore in the Atlantis housing project in Mumbai.
The Bollywood star bought the property in December 2020 but registered it in March 2021. According to local media reports, Bachchan paid a stamp duty of Rs 62 lakh, which is 2 percent of Rs 31 crore. Bachchan’s major achievement in the deal is that he has been able to avail the stamp duty exemption of the Maharashtra government till March 31.
The property is located on the 27th and 28th floors and has parking for six cars. Amitabh Bachchan has been the beneficiary of stamp duty concessions imposed by the government to boost sales of apartments in crisis in the city during the Corona era.
Already many celebrities, businessmen, and professional CEOs have taken advantage of the stamp duty exemptions offered by the government in the covid context. The Maharashtra government has decided to temporarily reduce the stamp duty on housing units from five percent to two percent to boost the real estate market.
