New Delhi: The BCCI has announced the annual contract of Indian women cricketers. Smriti Mandana, Twenty20 captains Harmanpreet Kaur and Poonam Yadav are in A grade. Veterans Mithali Raj and Julan Goswami are in B grade. Shafali Verma was promoted from C to B.
The annual contract of 19 persons was retained. Veda Krishnamurthy, Ekta Bish, Anuja Patil, and D Hemalatha were excluded from the contract. Shafali’s inclusion in India’s ODI and Test squad helped him reach the B-category. The Indian team is currently under bio-bubble security in Mumbai ahead of the tour of England.
The contract runs from October this year to September next year. Grade players will get Rs 50 lakh and B grade players will get Rs 30 lakh. The annual salary in C grade is Rs 10 lakh.
